C’EST NOUS by A.COROT
There are things that cannot be explained with words, and this painting is one of them.
When we thought about collaborating with A. Corot, we knew we didn’t want just any canvas. We wanted to see ourselves reflected through her eyes, translated into her language. And what was born from that encounter is not just a painting: it is a way of explaining who we are, in the most honest and symbolic way possible.
At first sight, it looks like a contemporary still life, but every element tells something about us.
The table, as the starting point. Because at C’est Nous we’ve always liked to pause, to think, to do things with meaning. The table is the place where everything happens, where conversations unfold, where details are savored, and where ideas are born.
The glass of wine speaks of pleasure, of joy, of living in the moment. The wine is not there for elegance, but for the value of savoring the everyday.
The open pomegranate is perhaps the heart of the painting. A fruit that only reveals its beauty and strength when it bursts open—just like us, when we allow intuition and passion to spill into everything we do.
The sauces on the table remind us that we are never the same, that there is always a new mix, a new way of adding our touch. There is not just one sauce, but many, because we are versatile, spontaneous, unpredictable.
The clock, hanging on the wall, points to one of our obsessions: time. It marks two different hours, because there is real time, and there is your own rhythm. And it’s within that difference that we find the space to squeeze the day, to play with spontaneity, and to fit in what we truly want to do.
The flowers are fleeting beauty. They remind us that things are meant to be enjoyed while they last, that the present is what matters. Just like C’est Nous, which lives in the now, in what we feel and share in this very moment.
And the three candles are us. Three flames burning together, representing the essence of this shared project.
Looking at this painting feels like looking into a mirror. On the surface it is a still life, but in reality it’s an intimate map of who we are: curious women, spontaneous, eager to live everything fully, unafraid to take risks, always attuned to the hidden beauty in details.
This painting is not a decoration, it is another page of our memories. Written this time, in brushstrokes.
